To make sure that your training complements all of these factors, we need to talk. That is why scheduling a get-to-know-you talk is the first thing we do when a new runner signs up for coaching.

Training: Exactly the Way You Want It
With a comprehensive knowledge of the various training methodologies, coaching from Run161 will provide you with a training plan suited to your preference.
Whether you want to track your intensity by heart rate zones, or perhaps running power, your training plan will accommodate it. And a suggested pace range for each run, of course.

When you are training to improve your fitness, it is crucial to understand why you do what you do in training. Every single run should have a specific purpose and fit into the plan to get you to the starting line in the best shape possible.
Coaching from Run161 will help you understand the purpose of every single run. Additionally, the added accountability of working with a coach will make it easier to stick to the plan.

Even the best-made plan is just a plan. Life always gets in the way. Whether it is your best friend’s wedding, or a niggle preventing you from running, you have to adjust along the way.

Coaching from Run161 is platform agnostic. We deliver your training plan by email and monitor your training on your platform of choice. This way, you don’t have to spend time learning yet another tool before you can take advantage of all the benefits of a personal running coach.
And communication? It’s up to you to decide if you prefer video or text-based interaction. And whether you prefer Skype, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger or something else, you will be accommodated.

Coaching from Run161 is for all athletes. Whether you are running to improve your fitness or to claim a spot on the podium, we are happy to help you get there.
You can run as little or as much as you want. When you sign up, we will discuss your short and long terms goals in detail. This information, along with your training history and current fitness, will be the foundation of your proposed training plan.
If your proposed training plan does not suit your schedule, we will tweak and adapt it together until we end up with the best possible training plan for you.
Once you sign up, you will receive a confirmation email where we ask a few questions. You reply to this email to schedule the initial coach-athlete talk, where we get to know each other a little better.
If we don’t hear back from you by the next day, we will reach out again to try and lock in a time for the talk. If we haven’t heard anything within a week, we will cancel your coaching plan and refund your initial payment.
When you sign up for Run161 coaching, you establish a payment subscription plan which is renewed monthly. You can see the details and manage your plan in the Members’ Area.
There are a few crucial criteria for success when working with a coach. You have to get along with your coach, listen to him or her, and believe in their philosophy. Any athlete-coach relationship lacking this foundation, will not be productive. And, sometimes, for whatever reason, people just don’t hit it off.
When that happens, and one or more of these criteria for success is lacking, you won’t have to pay a single thing. All you have to do is let us know within the first 14 days of signing up that this isn’t exactly what you had envisioned. We will cancel your plan and refund your first payment. No questions asked
